Production of the issue paper addressing the enforcement jurisdiction of the maritime law enforcement agencies for fishing trawlers in the maldivian eez engaged in drug trafficking. Facilitation and participation in the maritime law enforcement dialogue in maldives. Preparation and facilitation and participation in egm based on initial inputs. Revised draft of legislative guide submitted integrating relevant inputs received in egm. Final draft legislative guide submitted integrating all final unodc inputs. Work location home-Based with frequent travel to gulf of guinea region, seychelles and maldives expected duration 23 september- 29 december duties and responsibilities the incumbent to be engaged under this consultancy will develop a legislative guide on marine pollution, under the supervision of unodc staff and in close coordination with other branches, offices and departments of unodc as well as other regional and international organizations, when possible. Moreover, the objective of this assignment is to generate an issue paper that conducts a thorough analysis of the legal framework governing the exercise of enforcement jurisdiction by maritime law enforcement agencies concerning fishing vessels within the exclusive economic zone (eez) in cases involving drug trafficking.
