Dedalus is growing its footprint in offering its products as public cloud hosted managed services. This requires engineering staff to be able to work with both the product delivery units and customers to take requirements and convert these to blueprints ready for delivery. This is an operations & engineering role, with expectation that the applicant can write code, python, powershell, json, yaml & aws cloud formation. In holding this role, you will work either in the global hub team or as part of the regional spoke, reporting abroad to the cloud delivery lead. You will be involved in out of hours due to on call support on a rota-Based system. Role main objectives deploy: responsible for delivering infrastructure as code. Creation and maintenance of automation scripts to deploy platform code. Creation and maintenance of automation scripts to deploy cloud infrastructure, vms, dbs, load balancers. Creation of product install automation scripts. Execution of this automation to build out customer & internal environments up to the product level. Enhancements & changes to continually improve the scripts as requirements & products change. Defining & deploy alerting for infrastructure and products. Integration with cloud native services, cyber tooling, monitoring software and itsm tooling. Deploy business alerts to ensure changes to specifications or up time schedules are notified and approved. Run/operations: responsible for implementing the best practice run methodologies and advising regional teams. Defining & deploy backup policies. Defining & deploy patching schedules. Defining & deploy organisational unit polices. Monitoring these services. Actioning alerts for all infrastructure components, including network, waf, cyber.
