Legal team at crunchbase we are seeking a highly-Motivated attorney with 10+ years experience (ideally a combination of working at a large firm and in-House for a growth-Stage technology company) to lead our established legal function. Reporting directly to the chief financial officer as a member of the finance-Operations team, this attorney will work closely with crunchbases existing commercial attorneys and cross-Functional groupsincluding product, engineering, marketing, business development and salesfocusing primarily on compliance and corporate matters, but also assisting with commercial transactions, financings, mergers and acquisitions and supporting the continuous improvement of crunchbases legal operations/processes. What youll do: lead a team of attorneys working cross-Functionally in support of key compliance, corporate and commercial matters along with managing claims advise the business on product, data privacy/security (gdpr, ccpa, cpra, etc.), marketing/advertising, employment and general compliance issues review, draft and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including inbound and outbound software-As-A-Service (saas), data-As-A-Service (daas), partnership, vendor, professional service, cloud service, enterprise, marketing and reseller agreements help the company maintain and enforce its intellectual property rights (including copyrights and trademarks) respond to regulatory inquiries maintain the companys governing terms (terms of service, privacy policies, etc.) conduct data privacy impact assessments assist with security and data collection questionnaires assist with equity and debt financings and collections sit on the companys information security task force handle corporate registrations/certifications assist with corporate governance support the cx team as it responds to data subject requests supervise in-House and outside counsel draft and implement policies and procedures to ensure legal standard methodologies support the continuous
